Whourkr is a project featuring Gautier Serre (Igorrr) and a person named -i snor and this is their first record. i got into these guys last year when i randomly picked up their 2nd album Concrete (i didn't realize it was an Igorrr side project until later though). it's basically what Igorrr would sound like if it was a metal project and that's not a bad thing at all. crazy glitchy beats and riffs (actually everything is glitchy at one point or another, the track Hackta is pretty much nothing but glitches) collide to form an absolutely crushing metal album. there are no lyrics, there isn't even any recognizable language used (the title of this post is a sampling of some of the "lyrics" from the booklet) . as the band puts it "the voice is a howling instrument that creates an emotional language." what that means is there's a ton of bizarre screaming and yelling in a variety of ranges. it's a bit Mike Patton-esqe really.
i'd recommend checking out both Whourkr albums and the Igorrr albums. at this point i'll pretty much check out anything Gautier Serre does
