      Tig Notaro is a standup comedian that I first saw when she had a small roll as a Lesbian Police Officer on "The Sarah Silverman Program". After that, I kept hearing her name mentioned due to all of the Comedy Podcasts I listen to. Every time she was mentioned she was mentioned with a lot of admiration and respect, so I became very curious about her standup comedy. She finally released a full-length comedy album last year on A Special Thing Records so I had to check it out. Finally got to it the other day.
     She has a very observational and conversational style. She had a lot of really good one liners and shorter stranger off beat jokes. She also tells a lot of more personal short stories that lead to the best moments on the album including her countless run-ins with 80's pop singer Taylor Dayne. Notaro also shows a knack for involving the audience and talking to the crowd. There were some really great and funny moments on this album, but if I take anything from this album, its just that shes worth seeing live because some of her jokes and crowd interactions didn't translate well to audio recording. I'd still recommend checking her out to decide for yourself if shes someone you could enjoy. (072)
