Ghastly City Sleep's debut ep. this is one of those bands where each member has been/is in a thousand other bands and they've all played in bands with each other at some point (i'm not going to get into who was in what band with whom because)
the band plays a kinda post rock with ambient electronics. initially i wasn't all that thrilled with the album. it wasn't that i thought it was bad, it just wasn't all that...original i guess. there are a million bands that have a similar sound to this. however i listened to it a couple more times before writing this post (and am, in fact, listening to it right now) and it's really growing on me. i still don't think it's a game changer or anything but it is a very well crafted and quite enjoyable album. love might be a stretch but i really like this record and i'm interested to see how their sound evolved over the 3 years between this album and their first full length, which i will probably be posting about soon.
